About
My name is Chris Ronan and I live in Dallas, Texas. I’m the owner of a design firm called RD2, Inc. Every day I try to get on something with two wheels.
Since I was as young as I can remember, there’s been this fascination with bikes of all kinds. One of my first words was “car-car” – my two year old word for “motorcycle.”
I grew up with a yellow Ross polo bike with a banana seat. That one my parents gave me when I was four, purchased at Greg’s Bike Town in Somerville, New Jersey (home of the bicycling hall of fame). My next bike after that was a Ross Signature mountain bike that I put on layaway at Hellebuyck’s, a lawnmower and bicycle store in Utica, Michigan.
It’s difficult to recall any event in my life that did not have something to do with a bike. This carried through into my adult years with some racing, and then finding my enthusiasm for motorbikes in my mid thirties. It’s all been a happy blur.
This is a blog that more like therapy for me than anything else. When riding bicycles or motorbikes, things become more clear to me. The big picture just comes together. I also love to write and snap photos here and there. So, here I’ll try to document some rides, cool finds, and maybe a few random thoughts. The theme will revolve around two wheeled transportation.
